Melissa’s hands aren’t clean. We find it incredibly hard to believe that Melissa is just an innocent bystander to the “A” conspiracy, the NAT club, and Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) murder. She was in the very first scene of the finale, and in the final scene of the season. There’s no way she wasn’t involved in any of the shenanigans going on in the episode, right?
Toffee is not a popular color or flavor. Not of lipstick, nor ice cream. When Mona (Janel Parrish) as “A” mentioned her toffee lipstick, all of you clever viewers immediately noticed the connection to the ice cream Melissa was loving in the first scene. In an exclusive interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, Janel admitted that she didn’t 100% know the connection, but we already know the Black Swan sketches were in Mona’s lair, so that’s a very quick link between these two.
Tall, brunette, size 2. Check, check, and well, yes, we’re aware of the pregnant elephant in the room. How could Melissa be the Black Swan when Hanna (Ashley Benson) rightfully noticed how thin she was? Well, do we know for sure that Melissa’s pregnancy is real? Anyone who’s seen Glee Season 1 knows how easy it is to fake a pregnancy, even to a husband or loved one. Garrett (Yani Gellman) is the only person who was close enough to Melissa (taking her to the OB/GYN appointments, according to Wren) to know for sure, but he was clearly not in the loop considering he was framed and sent to jail.
The Black Swan was conspiring with known Alison-haters. We saw her talking to only two people: Lucas (Brendan Robinson) and Jenna (Tammin Sursok). Lucas has always hated Alison (just like “A”) for picking on him, and we all know Jenna’s nasty history with Ali (Season 2, Episode 13:”The First Secret”). Melissa has perhaps the strongest motive for despising Ali: she was having an affair with Melissa’s then-boyfriend, Ian!
