The Voice Season 2’s Pip Talks About Being Called a “Lesbian Harry Potter”

After the latest battle round of The Voice, contestants were compared to Adele, Chris Brown, and … Harry Potter?

Team Adam contestant and battle round winner Pip was mentioned in Rolling Stone’s recent episode recap article in both some positive and potentially negative ways.

Rolling Stone writer Joe Berkowitz said, “The mononymous Pip looks like a tiny lesbian Harry Potter in a bowtie, but he sounds like a legendary Broadway belter.”

Wait, what?!

In a recent conference call, Pip responded to Rolling Stone’s comments saying, “I don’t really understand that comparison, but I mean, I guess I could see it a little bit? They did say a lot of other really nice things in the article too, so I think they were just trying to be a little funny, but it was very random.”

Apparently there are no hard feelings as Pip has taken to Twitter to laugh about the article. One of his fans tweeted him back saying, “@pip_andrew Harry Pipster and the Deathly Battle Rounds.”
