Watch Kim Kardashian Get Flour Bombed! Is PETA Responsible? (VIDEO)
When reality star Kim Kardashian arrived at an event in West Hollywood on Thursday (March 22, 2012) to promote her new fragrance, True Reflection, she looked clean and polished in a black blazer and black leather pants. But her outfit soon turned many shades of white when a heckler in the crowd pulled a Sacha Baron Cohen and attacked the fashionista with white powder.
But this was no red-carpet hoax. According to TMZ, the women yelled "fur hag!" at Kim before sneaking up on her from behind.
The mystery assailant was initially detained by police, but Kim decided not to press charges. In fact, she's laughing the whole thing off. As for the powder? It was nothing more than cooking flour.
"I brushed off and came right back out," she told E!
Fingers are currently being pointed at PETA — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — but a rep for the organization told TMZ they are not responsible for the flour-bombing incident.
"It was not [us]. We were given the video by an anti-fur activist on the scene."
Nonetheless, Kim is still on PETA's you-know-what list.
"PETA has tried everything from polite letters to public protests, but Kim Kardashian has not been moved by the news that animals are beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for real fur garments. Whoever threw that flour may reach her when our polite appeals did not."
We may not totally agree with Kim's stance on fur, but there are better ways to get your message across than throwing flour on someone.
