The Voice’s Tony Vincent and His Wife Are Expecting a Baby in Six Days!
Six days from now is a big day for The Voice Season 2 contestant Tony Vincent. It marks the first night of live shows, and also his wife, Aspen (Miller) Vincent’s, due date for their first child.
“Hopefully those two hours will go rather rapidly, and I’ll be able to get back,” Tony said in a recent conference call.
The couple, who met on stage and have performed together numerous times, is expecting “a little lady” this Monday, April 2.
Tony was the winner of the final battle round last night against fellow Team Cee Lo contestant Justin Hopkins. The two sang “Faithfully” by Journey, a song that resonated with the father-to-be.
“Last night’s song was really special to me because it’s really kind of the testimony of how I’ve lived the last 20 years of my life,” Tony said. “Especially now that I’m getting ready to be a father and my baby’s on the way. I know what it’s like to be away from the person that’s your lover that you would give your life for.”
But Tony accepts this challenge head-on and even says it will give him an advantage.
“Actually it’s a huge blessing on a couple of levels,” he said. “A) Just getting the opportunity to be a father, but B) I have a personality that tends to white knuckle situations, and the fact that now I have two things to think about actually can make me take each role on board in a much more clear-headed way."
“It’s kind of a blessing where most people would think ‘God, this going to be really tough for you,'" he reaffirmed. "The way I work it’s actually more of a blessing in disguise.”
We wish him the best of luck moving forward. And with those musical parents, we won’t have to wait long to see the newest Vincent on the next big talent show!
