Game of Thrones Sneak Peek Roundup: Season 2, Episode 1: “The North Remembers” (VIDEO)

When we last left Westeros, war was coming. But before the war between the kingdoms can officially begin, Robb Stark (Richard Madden) needs to organize his men and establish clear demands from King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson). Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) needs to return to King’s Landing and claim his new title as the King’s Hand. And, of course, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) needs to learn how to train her dragon.

Here is a complete roundup of all the sneak peeks for Game of Thrones Season 2, Episode 1: “The North Remembers.”

Here we see Jeor Mormont (James Cosmo), Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) commander at the Night’s Watch, reprimand Jon for getting a little too big for his britches. He demands, “Who am I!” and “Who are you!” Jon appears to answer correctly … one hopes.

It looks like Tyrion will be continuing one of his favorite hobbies — drinking — while in his position as the King’s Hand. Here, Tyrion amazingly makes Joffrey squirm while pointing out that the young King doesn’t actually fight on the battlefields, now does he?

Speaking of Tyrion and his new position, this sneak peek shows him approaching his sister, Queen Cersei (Lena Headey), and the small council. He announces that their father has made him Hand in his absence, and they have an interesting chat in private about their troubled new King.

Robb Stark delivers his official demands from the Lannisters, and he is both stern, smoking hot, and serious when delivering the missive to an errand boy. Put simply, he wants the North to become its own free, independent kingdom, completely separate from King’s Landing and the Iron Throne. Joffrey cannot step foot in the North without being beheaded. The best line? “Only I don’t need a servant to do my beheading for me.” Burn!

Dany is seen here getting to know one of her three dragons, and even purring at him a little. She explains that her dead brother told her dragons eat meat, but she isn’t sure what kind. We love how savage Dany seems in this clip.

Finally, for a laugh, we see the men of the Night’s Watch trudging along beyond the Wall and coming across what passes for a tiny community of Northerners. “Are those girls?” asks the still-round Samwell (John Bradley-West). “I haven’t seen a girl in six months.”

Watch and enjoy! Only three more days until Season 2 premieres.
