Ashton Kutcher to Play Steve Jobs in Upcoming Biopic
Though Ashton Kutcher has had his hand in the social networking scene for a while, landing a role playing Apple’s founder Steve Jobs is still pretty impressive.
The Two and a Half Men actor is set to star in Jobs, an indie biopic about the late computer guru directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) and written by Matt Whiteley.
The film will follow Jobs’s career from his hippie days (cue Ashton’s “Jesus hair”) to the creative genius he became.
But does the typically comedic actor have what it takes to embody one of the most important people of the last few decades?
In addition to Two and a Half Men, Ashton recently starred in New Year’s Eve and No Strings Attached — nothing groundbreaking there. But he has also held more serious roles including playing the wrestler, Walter, in Personal Effects and the womanizer, Nikki, in Spread.
