We also chatted with Pauly about his new MTV reality show,The Pauly D Project, which follows him and his crew of friends around as travels around the country to DJ. Even though the show premiered last Thursday, Pauly’s friends were still working the event this weekend for their friend, trying to keep the hordes of screaming girls away from the reality star and make sure his DJ set went smoothly. So, is it harder for Pauly’s crew to work the event now that they are on TV?
“A little bit,” Pauly said. “I’ve been on TV for so long and it’s my show and everything but people do recognize them though. Which is weird.”
But is it different to watch yourself with a group of your friends as opposed to watching yourself interact with seven people who are essentially strangers?
“It’s kinda like the same. Even though they were strangers [on Jersey Shore] I still act the same with them that I did with my friends now. And my friends would always say that when they watch Jersey Shore. They were like, ‘Watching you with those guys was like watching you with us because you say the same things’.”
We spotted Pauly wearing a nice chain that looked very much like the one that a one night stand stole from him during Season 5. However, Pauly assured us that it wasn’t the same chain.
“No I sold that one, that one was bad luck. I got rid of that chain!”
Considering that he’s getting awesome DJ gigs, his own show, and a new season of Jersey Shore to look forward to, we think it was a smart move on Pauly’s part to ditch that bad luck chain!
