Baby Bones is Born in a Manger! Stars and Writers React to Birth Scene on Twitter

Bones is finally back! And after over three months with no new shows, Season 7 certainly returned with a bang: Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) baby daughter made her grand debut before the episode came to an end.

The Bones writers, and a few cast members, were on hand throughout the evening to add their thoughts and behind-the-scenes knowledge about everything that went down in Season 7, Episode 7, “The Prisoner in the Pipe.” Take a look at some of our favorite tweets.

Just minutes before the show’s east coast airing, David Boreanaz started the tweeting frenzy off right with, “Enjoy the epp everyone! Glad we are back! #Bones”

The fun continued with plenty of witty banter and silly exchanges, including David’s “Cold pizza?!? RT @HartHanson: Tamara is leaving to go work so now this is not any fun at all.”

However, it wasn’t until that epic scene when Brennan gives birth in a stable when everyone started to get really excited. Bones creator Hart Hanson tweeted, “We're all crying here ... we can't tweet for a minute ... choked up …”

That said, he almost immediately felt the need to lighten the mood by sharing a fun fact, about the infant actor who plays the tiny child. “That baby peed on David and Emily,” he wrote.

And all that sticky bodily fluid you saw the infant covered in? Nothing but a bit of Hollywood magic! Hart tweeted, “Thank goodness for parents who will allow us to smear grape jelly all over their baby for show biz.”

Uh... The more you know?

So, how will the show change now that B&B are officially mom and dad? And will the show suddenly become overrun with nothing but cute baby smiles and charming little baby winks?

Fear not, Bones fans. This will still — at its core — be the show you’ve come to know and love. Executive Producer Stephen Nathan summed it up, writing, “Things are going to be a lot different from now on. And quite a bit the same.”
