Game of Thrones Season 2 Spoilers: Robb Stark Finally Loses His V-Card
Any Game of Thrones fan knows that it’s rare to meet a virgin in Westeros. Sure, they probably exist, and we certainly think Arya Stark is a virgin, but with most of the young men seen pounding away at whatever lady they have at their grasp, it’s refreshing to learn that one of our most handsome heroes still has yet to do the deed: Robb Stark.
In an interview with The Insider, Richard Madden opens up about how Robb has matured from Season 1 to 2, what we have to look forward to, and how he grappled with various character decisions that weren’t necessarily outlined in the book. Including Robb’s level of sexual experience.
“I had to make a lot of choices in my head and figure out what happened when he was younger … I think Robb is a very good man, with a deep sense of honor.” Richard goes on to cite the various psychological aspects of Robb’s long-term decision-making, but finally confronts the question, “Was Robb a virgin?” He whispers, “Yes.”
Many fans claim that Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is also a virgin at this point in the story (his name being a tip-off), so it seems as though two of Ned Stark’s sons are incredibly inexperienced.
Richard revealed that Robb will soon have a big romance in Season 2, however. “He finds this escape in this woman who doesn’t see him as a king; they immediately connect as people and that’s the most realistic thing he’s had...she makes Robb think about the longterm results of his actions.” He hints, “At the same time, there are lots of feelings.”
Frankly, we’re just excited that we’ll be seeing more shirtless Robb!
