Dancing With The Stars

Love Connection? Maksim Chmerkovskiy Flirts With Jennifer Love Hewitt, “Flattered” By Her Crush

Ryan Seacrest needs to stop playing matchmaker or Chris Harrison is gonna sue for host trademark infringement. Taking a break from his usual routine of setting up Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough with every girl in sight, Ryan kind of ambushed The Client List star Jennifer Love Hewitt when she was on his radio show today and asked about her crush on DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

As you probably remember, J.Love was in the DWTS Season 14, Week 4 audience and Tom Bergeron bypassed the other visiting stars — including John Stamos, Nia Vardalos, Rita Wilson and Little Richard — to ask Jennifer who she was rooting for. "Maks," she said. Ryan felt like she said it in a "breathy" tone and kidded her about it.

“I think Maks is so amazing!" Jennifer told Ryan. "He’s such a good dancer! I don’t know why it was ‘breathy,’ but I’m sorry about that!” Turns out, Ryan had secretly dialed Maks onto the line as well. The pro joked of Jen, "She put me in a lot of trouble with all my friends! They were like ‘You go out to LA. You make it, and you don’t tell us your dating Jennifer Love Hewitt!’”

J.Love tried to apologize for all the hullabaloo, but Maks said, “Don’t apologize. If anything, thank you. I’m definitely flattered!” And maybe these two would actually work out, since Maks has been eyeing Jennifer for a while too. “When I’m feeling down and I need to put a smile on my face I just get outside and every billboard seems to be The Client List. Trust me!”

We asked Wetpaint readers if they thought J.Love and Maks would make a good couple and so far the answer seems pretty split, with 40 percent saying "yes," 40 percent saying "no" and 15 percent choosing "Maybe. They're both a little nutso."

What do you think? Vote here. Jennifer also said she doesn’t have time to do DWTS now but she would consider it at another time.

Catch the next new episode of DWTS on Monday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
