Glee Season 3 Spoilers: Darren Criss on New Klaine Drama and the “Next Step” After Graduation Goodbyes

With every new episode of Glee each week – now that we’re finally over that seven week hiatus – we’re inching ever-closer to graduation day, and what we assume will mean BIG changes for our fave students at McKinley High! What those changes will be, we have yet to find out, but Darren Criss (Blaine) is making an effort to calm our fears… kinda.

Darren tells TV Guide, of the show’s continuation, “I don’t think it’s a matter of saying goodbye so much as it is about moving on. It’s about having a departure point and having grown into another person from the person you were when you started high school.”

Ummm, “departure point”?

Ryan Murphy is a big believer in the idea that high school is a machine where you come in as one person and you exit another,” Darren says. “This last season is more about growing and learning new things and being a new person and bringing that to the next step in your life. I don’t think it’s a hard-fact farewell per se as it is cathartic change and the beginning of a new chapter.”

This certainly seems to support the theory that at least some of the Glee seniors will be sticking around for next season. But all of the seniors? We still don’t know…

But before we think too much about graduation, there’s still the issue of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) big NYADA auditions! Fresh off the news that only ONE of the two might ultimately make it in, Darren adds to the suspense by proposing that Kurt’s desire to move to NYC might create a bit of drama in his otherwise smooth relationship with Blaine.

“Those are the biggest stakes for Kurt and Blaine and that’s something they’re about to learn to deal with,” he teases. So will Blaine will be a doting and supportive boyf to Kurt, or are things about to get messy? Darren says only, “Who knows. I have no idea. It’s going to involve music, I can tell you that!”
