Pippa Middleton’s Parisian Gun Incident: Is She Royally Screwed? (UPDATE)

**UPDATE: According to The New York Times, Paris police have not received a complaint, and are therefore not looking any further into the matter. A spokesman for the clothing company owned by one of the alleged passengers in the car claims that the gun was a toy and the driver was "playing a game" with the paparazzi. However, given the recent shootings in France, it's no surprise that bystanders were more horrified than amused.

Her Royal Hotness is in some royally hot water.

On Saturday, April 14, Duchess Kate Middleton’s younger sis, her friend Arthur de Soultrait, a fashion mogul who’d just celebrated his birthday at a wild party the night before, and his brother were getting a ride through Paris when the driver allegedly brandished a semi-automatic handgun and aimed it at a photographer who was following them.

The paparazzo snapped a picture of the incident and has reportedly filed a formal complaint with the Paris police.

With all sorts of anti-terrorism laws in place, Paris is not a city where you want to get caught waving a gun around: The driver could get up to seven years in prison if the gun’s real, and he’d still get up to two years if the weapon’s a fake.

A judicial source explains to Us Weekly, "If the evidence points to [Pippa Middleton's] involvement, she will be prosecuted. Anybody involved in the illegal use of a handgun in public is liable to arrest and interrogation."
