Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Joseph Morgan on Whether We’ll See Klaus in Season 4
When you spend your days killing beloved aunts and breaking werewolves’ necks, you’re bound to make a few enemies. Sure, many Vampire Diaries viewers might love Klaus (Joseph Morgan), but the residents of Mystic Falls don’t quite feel the same way. In fact, they’ve spent months trying to kill him, which is why Joseph Morgan isn’t at all convinced his character will live to see Season 4.
“My character definitely isn’t confirmed for Season 4,” Morgan tells TV Guide. “We know there’s a lot of people in Mystic Falls who want him dead.” At least a couple people have a vested interest in keeping the OV intact, though. Klaus sired Tyler (Michael Trevino) — and if the Original goes, so does the new hybrid. Rumor has it Tyler is safe until Season 4, but Joseph doesn’t have the same confidence.
“There’s very much a threat that [Klaus] won’t make it to Season 4, or even if he does make it to Season 4, it won’t be in the way you think,” J.Morg says in the TV Guide interview. He thinks the Salvatores may find a way to neutralize Klaus, thereby reducing his threat level, but he adds, “I’m genuinely worried by it.”
So are we, Morgs. The only way you’re allowed to leave TVD is for an Originals spin-off.
