Kris Humphries Calls Kim Kardashian “Publicity Hungry” Over Mayor Bid

A new report says Kim Kardashian’s soon-to-be-ex, Kris Humphries, is slamming his former sweetie for announcing her political aspirations, claiming she’ll do anything for attention.

According to Radar Online, Kim’s ex is appalled by the recent unaired Khloe & Lamar clip in which the starlet announces her intent to run for mayor of Glendale, a Los Angeles suburb, in 2017.

Although the NBA baller reportedly doesn’t tune into any of the Kardashian shows anymore, he still caught wind of the news and was hardly shocked by Kim’s political announcement. “...He feels there isn't anything she wouldn't do as she is so publicity hungry,” dishes the Humphries insider. “It's just ridiculous and sad to him that Kim is so fixated on fame and celebrity.”

However, the source says Kris doesn’t think the Kardashian’s name will ever actually show up on a ballot. “There is no way” Kim would put down roots in the small town, since she was always complaining that Kris’ Hoboken, New Jersey condo “wasn’t exciting enough,” says the source.

Either way, Kim’s camp stands by her decision to represent the suburb, which has a large Armenian population. According to a statement to Us Weekly, the reality star’s rep says she is “always” on the lookout for charitable ways to help the Armenian community. "She's learning more about ways in which she can help to do her part to make a difference in the community,” says the spokesperson.

Sadly, Kris might be right about Kim’s dreams not coming to fruition: The starlet likely can’t run anyway thanks to the way Glendale's local government currently runs. And we were so ready to campaign for “Kardashian in 2017”!
