Real Housewives of Vancouver’s Reiko MacKenzie Is “Not Hiding Anything” About Her Husband’s Past
We're addicted to The Real Housewives of Vancouver, and our favorite reality starlet of the bunch might just be Reiko MacKenzie –– mostly because she knows how to wield a sword. Reiko's one tough cookie, and she has to keep a thick skin because her husband, Sun, was accused of murder!
Sun was a suspect in the murder of Jim and Ron Dosanjh, who were killed in a "turf war" between rival drug gangs. Luckily, Sun was acquitted, and Reiko says her family has nothing to hide about their notorious past. "Sure, there’s been some negative press reports, but there really isn’t much to say about the news item from our past," Reiko tells Postmedia News (via The Vancouver Sun). "I was never and am not hiding anything. It really did happen a long time ago. My husband and I have had tremendous support from our friends and the community."
Speaking of friends, Reiko's made a whole new slew of besties since becoming a reality star. "It has been a wonderful surprise to have people come up to me and telling me that I’ve inspired them to work out, eat healthier, or to try something a little more daring," Reiko says. "It has really been heart-warming! I feel like I am taking on an enormous responsibility, which makes me truly honoured and excited. This inspires me to do more, and I love meeting people when I’m out and about."
Of course with great power comes great responsibility, but Reiko says "I own up to who I am very proudly. I’ve enjoyed doing the show since day one. I have absolutely no regrets for doing the show." Good thing Reiko's so open –– we can't wait to learn more about her past!
