How Many Seasons Can ABC’s Revenge Last?

We can't get enough of Emily Thorne's weekly takedowns on ABC's Revenge, but at the same time we're left wondering how long the show can last on its current trajectory before every character is either dead or permanently disgraced.

According to show creator Mike Kelley, there is a well-crafted plan in place. Not only does he know how the entire series will end, but he also knows how many seasons it will take for Emily to complete her revengenda (if she even can).

“Before I embarked on this journey, I wanted to know that I could extend the life of Revenge to be a satisfying series and if I didn’t think I could do that, I wouldn’t have taken on the series," he told The New York Post.

So, how exactly does he plan on extending Revenge beyond a first season? By giving each and every character his or her moment in the spotlight.

"We made sure we populated the world with enough interesting characters that you get caught up in their stories as well,” Kelley told the New York Post, reminding us that Revenge isn't just the Emily Thorne show.

“We made sure we had a lot of places to go so that we didn’t get trapped.”

Don't worry if you're afraid the shift in focus will water down the drama. Kelley has plenty of fun things planned for Hamptons' finest, including flashbacks, soapy storylines, and individual takedowns.

"We feel like we’ve got a lot of fertile ground that will sustain the show into the future, interminably so," he affirmed.

Personally, we're gunning for a Nolan Ross-centric episode.
