We seriously hope all the main characters don’t actually kick the bucket — and star Hugh Laurie (Dr. House) gives us something to hold on to by assuring E! Online that creator David Shore isn’t into melodrama and clichéd endings.
"[Shore] would go out of his way not to create some sort of false, very heightened ending in which things blow up and people get married or don't or whatever, in which everything is sort of resolved. Because life isn't like that,” he explains. “[The ending] may be tied up, but it'll more be stapled up. I don't think there'll be any bows."
And now that we know that Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), House’s best friend, is the one with “the C-Word,” is it possible he doesn’t make it to the show’s bitter end? Robert teases, "I don't think it's important what happens as how it happens. I think it will be abrupt because I keep reading scripts thinking, 'When is [Shore] going to start tying stuff up?' But he's not big on tying stuff up. I think the door's going to slam and that's going to be it."
This series ender is sure to be a doozy!
Don’t miss the final episode Monday, May 21 on FOX.
