Britney Spears’s Fiance to Become Her Co-Conservator? (UPDATE)
**UPDATE: A judge has approved Jamie Spears's petition to add Britney's fiancé, Jason Trawick, as one of her conservators. He'll now be involved in all decisions regarding the pop star's personal and professional life.
Britney Spears and fiancé Jason Trawick aren’t in a rush to head down the aisle, but they may soon be joined in another legal capacity. According to Radar Online, Jason is likely to become one of the 30-year-old pop star’s co-conservators.
Ever since Britney’s 2008 head-shaving incident and subsequent hospitalization, her father, Jamie Spears, and lawyer Andrew Wallet have served as her conservators, meaning that they have the final say about all decisions in her life, both personal and business-related. An insider reveals that Jason will request to be appointed to the position in court later this month.
"Britney's medical doctors think it's a good idea to see how Jason will do as her co-conservator as he is planning on marrying Britney,” says the insider. “This is the natural step.”
With the two expected to get married later this year, it sounds like a good idea for him to get familiar with the role. Still, it’ll hopefully only be temporary. Britney’s goal is to prove that she no longer needs to be under conservatorship.
