The Vampire Diaries

Vampire Diaries Synopsis for Season 3, Episode 21, “Before Sunset”: Going Somewhere?

The smoke has cleared from the decade dance and a few people are still alive, at least. Not everyone’s out of danger, though. Someone surprising attempts to thwart Klaus (Joseph Morgan) when he kidnaps Elena (Nina Dobrev) and tries to leave Mystic Falls. Even though she’s in quite a pickle, Elena still fights to keep Caroline (Candice Accola) safe. (Maybe she dissed Klaus at the dance?)

Bonnie (Kat Graham) lures her mom, Abby (Persia), back to help with a complex spell, but she and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) still managed to get in peril ensuring that it goes off without a hitch. (Martyr Bennett, that’s what we call her.)

Tyler (Michael Trevino) joins forces with the Salvatore brothers for a mystery project, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) end up talking about where they see themselves in 200 years.

Read the full synopsis below:

A DAY WITHOUT A VAMPIRE — Klaus acts on his intentions to leave town with Elena (Nina Dobrev), but finds resistance from a surprising new enemy. Bonnie (Kat Graham) calls on Abby (guest star Persia White) to help her with a difficult spell. As events spiral out of control, Elena is determined to protect Caroline (Candice Accola), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) enlist Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) help, while Bonnie and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) take a terrifying risk to make sure her spell is effective. Damon and Stefan have a surprisingly candid conversation about the future. Chris Grismer directed the episode with story by Charlie Charbonneau & Daphne Miles and teleplay by Caroline Dries (#321).
