The Good Wife Season 3 Finale: Will Alicia Choose Her Old Home or Her New Life?
On The Good Wife’s Season 3 finale (Season 3, Episode 22: “The Dream Team”), Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) is faced with a decision that will determine what her future looks like. Does she go back to Peter (Chris Noth) and the kids in the home they grew up in? Or does she get in her car and continue living the double life of Mrs. Florrick by day, single mom by night?
More importantly, will she ever go back to Will (Josh Charles)?
The elevator scene in this episode was one of our all-time favorite Good Wife moments. What begins as an awkward ride up to Lockhart Gardner for Will and Peter turned into a vaguely happy collection of our favorite people, including Eli Gold (Alan Cummings) and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi).
But when Alicia smiles at the sight of both her men in the elevator, and says something along the lines of, “I thought I’d meet you here,” Peter asks, “Which one of us?” Alicia smiles and says, “Peter, of course.” Is this a sign that Alicia has made her decision?
We couldn’t help noticing the similarity between this season finale and the Season 1 finale (Season 1, Episode 23: “Running”), when Alicia had to choose between accepting Will’s call and joining her husband on stage as he announced his post-prison run for State’s Attorney. Then, she chose Peter. Will she do the same now?
