Seth Rogen Collects More Celeb Cameos For End of the World
Coming to a theater near you: an apocalyptic comedy set in James Franco’s apartment.
End of the World, Seth Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg’s directorial debut, will feature cameos from Emma Watson, Jason Segel, David Krumholtz, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson, and (possibly) Rihanna. But there’s a fun twist: Not all of these famous faces will survive the titular end of the world.
Back in January 2010, Baruchel revealed his unique pitch for the movie, which is based on the short Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse, to io9 (via HuffPo), “I want a bunch of cameos, but I just want them to be corpses. I want them to be like, ‘Oh god there's Will Smith's dead body in the corner!’ And it would actually be him. So that's my recurring joke for the movie: I want there to be a lot of dead famous people in it.”
We’ll have to wait until 2013 to find out who Seth and Evan elect to kill off, but even if they don’t spare their real-life friends, no hard feelings, right? You have to make sacrifices for great art... and edgy comedies.
