Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy Review: What Did You Think of Season 8, Episode 22: “Let the Bad Times Roll”?

On one of the final episodes of Grey's Anatomy Season 8 (Episode 22: “Let the Bad Times Roll”), we started by getting a taste of how each of the doctors struggled through their medical boards. April’s (Sarah Drew) nerves are getting the best of her, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is trying to keep from vomiting while discussing bloody stools, Alex (Justin Chambers) fails the first of his three sessions by not being there. Cristina’s (Sandra Oh) fussy interviewer doesn’t seem to like her rapid-fire style. And Jackson (Jesse Williams) is distracted by his mother’s laugh in the adjacent room.

How painful was it to watch April scream and sweat through her questions? Almost as painful as it was hearing Julia try to pressure Mark into having a baby with her by citing her hormones. We’ve read a lot of ladymags, and we’re pretty sure that’s a good way to scare a guy like Mark (Eric Dane).

In Calzona Land, Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) cancer-stricken friend needs surgery, and Callie (Sara Ramirez) is set to operate. He’s a little too flirty and a little too hippie-ish for Callie’s taste (and ours), but the bigger issue is his cancer, which has gone untreated for six years.

What did you think of Lexie’s (Chyler Leigh) proclamation of love for Mark? We loved it! And poor April. She’s the one who failed. What will she do now?

Catch a new episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday, May 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
