"That night": Marlene King confirmed that the episode's cryptic title, "It Happened 'That Night'" refers to the night of the masquerade ball/ Season 2, Episode 25: “UnmAsked.” Time jump: The episode will take place roughly 3 months after the Season 2 finale, right around Labor Day. A shocking event: According to the press release about the episode, the episode will feature the girls trying to get their lives back to normal, which isn't easy. And it's made even more difficult when "a shocking event rocks Rosewood." Sometimes we wonder why people don't just move away from this town. It is clearly cursed.
Jenna's still lying: Based on this sneak peek photo, it looks like Jenna ( Tammin Sursok) is still pretending to be blind. Alison: We know Alison ( Sasha Pieterse) will have a good part to play. Marlene King hinted that Mona ( Janel Parrish) will see her, though that might just be a hallucination. Radley: Marlene King said that she thinks #Radley will be trending after the premiere, which we hope means we'll get to see more of Mona in Radley Sanitorium. Emily will get drunk: Marlene also thinks #DrunkEmily will be trending. We hope Emily ( Shay Mitchell) is okay... Characters we will see: Along with the four main girls, Mona, and Alison, we can expect to see Lucas ( Brendan Robinson) and Caleb ( Tyler Blackburn) (though not together), Jenna, Ezra ( Ian Harding), Toby ( Keegan Allen), and Wren Kingston ( Julian Morris). Pilot parallel: According to Marlene King, this episode will parallel the pilot episode, including a scene where Hanna ( Ashley Benson) sees Spencer ( Troian Bellisario) shopping on Labor Day. Shipper news: There are so many shipping spoilers, we have them gathered in a whole other article. But the short version is: Ezria will have a sizzling time celebrating their one-year anniversary; Toby gets shirtless, we'll see the rocking chair again, and we'll "learn a lot" about the state of Spoby's relationship; there aren't Wrencer scenes; and Haleb will cook together … and cooking may turn into something more.
