Which Actor’s Wife Has Ripped Up Their Divorce Papers and Is Giving Him a Second Chance?
Is Dennis Quaid channeling his movie The Parent Trap in real life?
The actor starred in the '90s remake of that film, in which a couple's kids conspire to bring their parents back together. Well, we're not sure if any of Dennis and his real-life wife's three young children had anything to do with scheming to save this marriage, but it appears that Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly Buffinton-Quaid are giving it another go. Life imitating art!
Kimberly filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences, and there were rumors that the split was getting extremely testy, with the two even unable to agree as to who got to keep the Range Rover. (When you're fighting over custody of a Range Rover, it's time to take a deep breath and count to ten.)
But TMZ is now reporting that Kimberly has stopped pursuing the divorce, and the judge has agreed to dismiss it. Sounds like they find each to be good company after all! (Get it - because he was in the film In Good Company? Never mind.)
Dennis, 58, who has appeared in such films as The Day After Tomorrow and The Rookie, married real-estate agent Kimberly, 40, in 2004. The couple made headlines in 2007 when a hospital gave their newborn twins an unsafe dosage of a drug called heparin (although the twins made a full recovery).
Dennis and actress Meg Ryan divorced in 2001, and the couple's son Jack appeared in the recent hit film The Hunger Games. And speaking of The Hunger Games, we're just happy that Dennis and his current wife haven't resorted to fighting to the death with bows-and-arrows. Yet.
Dennis next appears in the film What to Expect When You're Expecting, which hits theaters later this month. In the film, Dennis plays a man who's expecting a child with a much-younger woman (played by Brooklyn Decker). Hmm... so he plays an older guy who has a thing for younger women? What were we just saying about life imitating art?
