Castle Sneak Peeks and Spoilers Roundup for the Season 4 Finale, “Always”

The Castle Season 4 finale is almost upon us!

It's been a wild ride full of frozen heads, haunted houses, and zombie attacks, but we're giddy with excitement to begin a new chapter in Castle and Beckett’s history. After four seasons of will-they-or-won't-they tension, it looks like our crime-solving duo finally will.

We can hardly believe it ourselves, but thanks to all of the spoilery promos and sneak peek clips (thank you, ABC!), we are 99.9 percent positive that Rick Castle and Kate Beckett will consummate their relationship with at least a kiss. (And, if Ausiello's blind item is true, a good old-fashioned love-making sesh!)

Castle and Beckett begin the episode on very good terms (both clutch their signature Starbucks lattes on the way to the crime scene), and share some adorably cute small talk about Alexis's graduation and their favorite action films.

They even plan what sounds like a real date — yes, you heard correctly, a real date — at Castle's loft for a John Woo movie marathon. (Is that what the kids are calling it these days?)

But the Season 4 finale — which is so aptly titled "Always" — is not just about Caskett's blossoming romance. The murder that Kate Beckett and her team are investigating is somehow connected to her mother's murder. (Click here if you need a refresher on all the drama surrounding Johanna Beckett.)

When a thief breaks into Captain Montgomery's widow's home, steals his old computer, and then winds up dead, Esposito is the first to make the Johanna connection.

Beckett's understandably on edge (after all, the people covering up her mother's murder did send a bullet through her chest), so she turns to Castle for comfort. He does his best to reassure her, but she's starting to question everything, especially why she's still alive.

Castle looks like he wants to come clean — that he struck a deal with Mr. Smith (the man Montgomery sent his Johanna files to in the Season 3 finale) to keep Beckett safe, as long as she keeps her nose out of the case — but he says nothing.

Instead, Castle urges Beckett to step down from the case, but when he sees the magnitude of her wherewithal, he knows his attempts are futile at best. The mystery writer has no choice but to admit he's been involved this whole time.

Beckett fires back angrily, and that's when Castle finally confesses his love for the "remarkable, maddening, challenging, frustrating" detective. She stands there speechless, mouth agape.

Amidst the craziness, Castle's also dealing with the loss of his little girl. Alexis is all grown up and about to graduate high school, and the doting dad must deal with the repercussions of letting her go. The two share a tender moment at Castle's loft, where Alexis admits she's afraid of moving on.

Meanwhile, back at the precinct, Ryan and Esposito's bromance might be on the fritz. According to Seamus Dever, who chatted with Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview, the pair find themselves on "different sides and having different opinions about things," a disagreement that stems from the way things were handled after Montgomery was killed.

In the Season 3 finale, the team agreed to keep Montgomery's involvement with Johanna Beckett a secret, but now, Ryan is having second thoughts. He wants to tell Captain Gates that the break-in at Monty's house is directly related to Beckett's mother's murder. Esposito knows that Gates will just send Beckett home, where she'll be in even greater danger.

How will these two reconcile a house divided?
