Lindsay Lohan and Woody Allen’s Dinner Date: Isn’t It Time For LiLo to Star in a Woody Film?
In many ways, Lindsay Lohan and Woody Allen are a dream team. They’re both a little rough around the edges, have publicly scrutinized morals, and don’t seem to care what anyone thinks of them anymore. So, seeing them leaving Philippe restaurant in Manhattan after dining together on Saturday (May 6) is actually a somewhat auspicious event.
Dina Lohan told the NY Post, “He just believes in her talent, and they’re really great friends.” She added, “Obviously, we think he’s a genius.”
We have to wonder if the feeling is mutual, considering Woody has yet to cast LiLo in one of his films, despite always having room in each picture for a 20-something ingenue. We would think two nuts like these could make something work.
On the positive side, Lindsay looked great in her blue and white print spring dress, and sporting one of the best hair colors she’s had in recent memory. And we’re sure the Woodster appreciated all that leg.
Isn’t it time for Lindsay to play “the Diane Keaton role" in an upcoming Woody movie? He’s given the part to other slightly unhinged (in the best way!) actresses in the past: Evan Rachel Wood in Whatever Works; Cristina Ricci in Anything Else; Chloe Sevigny in Melinda and Melinda; Natasha Lyonne in Everyone Says I Love You; and Juliette Lewis in Husbands and Wives.
