Being TV junkies, we quickly started reminiscing about other reality contestants who quit due to anger, annoyance, or emotional breakdown. In that spirit, here are eight of the most memorable reality goodbyes ever.
Louise Watts (ANTM Cycle 18): Shockingly, Alisha wasn't the first ANTM Cycle 18 contestant to quit. Back in Cycle 18, Episode 3: "Cat Deeley,"Louise Watts stormed out after getting into a massive fight with PR maven and ANTM judge Kelly Cutrone. The feud didn't end there: Kelly later threatened that her "army of PR girls" could take Louise down if needed. Because that's a reasonable way to act.
Angelina (Jersey Shore): Self-proclaimed Kim Kardashian of Staten Island Angelina was never quite at ease in the Jersey Shore house. In Season 1 she was kicked out after skipping work — a crime that the Shore Store boss actually cared about back then. Ever the trooper, Angelina returned for Season 2, only to quit before the season ended after fighting with … well, basically everyone. In Season 3 she was replaced by the infinitely more delightful Deena, and the world never looked back.
Dina Manzo (Real Housewives of New Jersey): Despite having deep family connections to the show, Dina Manzo left RHONJ halfway through Season 2 after getting totally fed up with backstabbing, controversial co-star Danielle Staub (who, ironically, wasn't asked back for Season 3). But it's fine, Dina now has her own HGTV show, Dina's Party.
Buddy Shuh and Mark Cornelison (Biggest Loser): Biggest Loser lost two contestants at once during Season 13, when Allen "Buddy" Shuh and Mark Cornelison both quit the showover a twist that allowed a previously eliminated contestant to return. The full story is even more exciting than that: At first, all five remaining contestants threatened to quit in an attempt to get the twist reversed. However, producers interfered by reminding the contestants how contracts (and reality TV) work. Buddy and Mark left anyway, claiming to be standing up for what's "right."
Malika Ameen and Seth Caro (Top Chef: Just Desserts):Top Chef: Just Desserts also lost two people at once during its first season. First, Seth Caro suffered a major (and majorly disturbing) emotional breakdown and had to withdraw — slash be disqualified — from the competition. In the same episode, Malika Ameen asked to be eliminated despite receiving a solid critique, basically because she hated the show and missed her kids. Whatever. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!): Perpetual reality TV fixtures Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt tried their hand at I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!, but their jungle journey came to a premature end when they quit the show after Heidi was hospitalized. We can get behind this decision: health comes first! Maya Luz (Project Runway): Maya was going strong on Project Runway Season 7, but quit two episodes before the finale after deciding she was too young and undeveloped as a designer; she didn't think she was ready for the prize even if she got it. She later told Entertainment Weekly that she did not regret the decision, as bizarre as it seemed to viewers. Scott Dangerfield (American Idol): Scott Dangerfield wowed judges and audience alike in the audition round of American Idol Season 11, but dropped out before the Hollywood round because the dates conflicted with his student-teacher gig, and, as he told TMZ, his students were depending on him. Awww.
