Kris Humphries Says He’s Not Dissing Kanye West in Funny or Die Video — Exclusive!
It’s no secret that Kris Humphries has had a tough time in the media since his quickie marriage (and impending divorce) with Kim Kardashian. But now, Kris is ready for a media makeover — courtesy of the good folks at Funny or Die. Kris earns major points for good-naturedly poking fun at himself in the comedy site’s new video, but did he take a jab at Kim’s rumored new man Kanye West in the process? In the hilarious video, the pro baller meets with potential representation at Second Rate Talent Management, and the agents make ham-fisted attempts at revising his public image, like offering to plaster his face on toilet paper or suggesting a name change to “Beta Fish World War III.” As Kris transforms himself into a “douchebag,” he changes from his normal V-neck tee and cardigan combo to a Ed Hardy wannabe T-shirt and white "shutter" sunglasses. Here’s where the Kanye dig comes in: Those very same shutter shades happen to be one of Kanye's favorite looks.
Kris answers the fictitious agents (and by extension the media) with “Look guys, you don’t understand me. I’m from the Midwest. I cried when Mufasa died in The Lion King. I’m outta here. I’m going with Grandma to the animal shelter.”
So did Kris mean to diss Kanye? Wetpaint Entertainment reached out to Kris' rep, who told us, "We set about to make fun of Kris' current portrayal in the media. We did not set out to make fun of anyone else."
