Jillian Harris’ Bachelorette Blog: Arie Is “Dreamy,” Jef’s Charity Work Is “A Huge Turn On”
Jillian Harris found love with Ed Swiderski on The Bachelorette Season 5, but she admits she went into it thinking "whatever happens, happens." The stakes are higher for Emily Maynard, the single mom bringing her daughter along for the ride on The Bachelorette Season 8.
Jilly is blogging about the show for Ladies' Home Journal (like Ali Fedotowsky did last season) and she wrote of Em's journey. "I don’t mean to devalue the importance of my time on the show or anyone else’s, but I really think this season of The Bachelorette is the most important in terms of what it means for her."
On that note, Jillian thinks maybe it's time to cut the cheese.
"[T]he show packed some major cheese last night, maybe more than ever," Jillian wrote of the premiere. "I loved Randy but seriously, what the heck was up with the granny get-up? It was so hard to take these guys seriously. I obviously loved Arie; he is so dreamy and I’m pretty sure he’s already a front-runner for Emily. Now as for Kalon, a.k.a. helicopter guy? I’m all for standing out, but in the least pretentious way possible, which in my opinion, helicopter guy didn’t achieve. At first I thought Jef the hipster was kind of a joke but he’s right, the other guys probably will underestimate him. I love what he stands for and I think his charity work is a huge turn on."
It’s also a big turn on that Jef didn’t bring an ostrich egg or a boom box or any other cheesy prop — oh wait, he rode in on a skateboard. Never mind! This season may be the most “important” ever but Emily likes funny guys and even cheesy goofballs need love. But if she gets tired of them she can always run back to Arie. He just brought his own hotness.
