New Barbra Streisand Album to Feature Duets With Rihanna and Adele?
Babs is back and this time she might have some interesting duet partners.
According to Perez Hilton, Barbra Streisand is preparing to release a new album after signing a $30 million deal with Sony.
After Tony Bennett’s successful duets album in 2011, which featured famous contemporary artists like Carrie Underwood, it seems industry execs have a similar idea in mind for Barbra Streisand.
Perez reports that label executives are interested in pairing Barbra up with some of today’s hottest pop artists, like Rihanna and Adele, and we couldn’t be more psyched. We’d love to hear 70-year-old Barbra’s take on “Someone Like You” or, better yet, “Bad Boy.”
While Adele’s big Grammy win this year actually rivals Babs’s own Grammy collection, the soulful Brit has a long way to go before she reaches B’s icon status.
