DWTS All-Stars Casting Rumor: Mel B and Maksim Chmerkovskiy?
Former Spice Girl Mel B will tell you what she wants — what she really really wants — to compete on Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Mel and Maks took second place on Season 5 and she’s kept up a strong friendship with her former partner and the show itself.
Mel tweeted a little prodding on Tuesday, May 15: “@MaksimC are we gonna do this or what brotha???”
A show insider added to RadarOnline, "Mel absolutely wants to come back and take another crack at winning the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. […] Remember, Maks has never won the trophy before, it's a constant thorn in his side, and he knows his best chance of winning is going to be with Mel. It's practically a done deal that the duo will be dancing together this fall and they are already talking about how they are going to win this time."
Maks was also a runner-up with Kirstie Alley on Season 12, so you could argue he has as much chance of winning again with her. But Kirstie may not be as interested in returning.
Maks may not be interested either, for that matter. Earlier this week he dispatched another frustration-filled blog about DWTS, saying he wasn’t sure he wanted to come back and if he does return he wants a serious discussion about what he’s coming back for.
Well, it sounds like he’d be coming back to dance with Mel. Unless Kirstie, Laila Ali, Erin Andrews, Brandy Norwood, Hope Solo or one of his other partners decides she too wants to return and there’s some kind of massive Maks fight. (Suggested spinoff: Who has “The Maks Factor”?)
Are you psyched for a Mel and Maks reunion or would you prefer Maks dance with another All-Stars lady?
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays onABC.
