How Did Melissa Rycroft Lose 50 Pounds of Baby Weight?
Is it fair that some women can drop baby weight like it’s nothing?
The Bachelor 13 alum Melissa Rycroft gave birth to baby Ava in February 2011, and she’s showcasing her post-baby bikini bod in the new issue of In Touch Weekly. She tells the mag that she lost the 50 pounds she gained while pregnant with baby Ava by just doing the usual mommy stuff. “I’ve got a natural weight right here,” Melissa says of Ava. “If I just hold her everywhere I go, I’m carrying an 18-pound load. The biceps and triceps that have come naturally are a blessing!” Since she can’t go to the gym, she uses the “chasing after my child” workout, as well as doing laundry and cleaning.
It does help when the mom is fit before getting pregnant — and Melissa was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader before (briefly) getting engaged toJason Mesnick on The Bachelor. Then she got even more fit on Dancing With the Stars Season 8. If she’s tapped for the upcoming DWTS All-Stars season, she might want to get a license for the guns she’ll be sporting, since dancing six hours a day is definitely more of a workout than doing laundry.
