That night tends to be a blur, so does she have any regrets about the guys she kept and the guys she dumped?
“I am so happy with all the guys that I kept,” Emily told reporters in a post-premiere conference call. “I really had a great group of guys. To be honest, if I could go back and maybe keep one extra, I would have kept the guy that dressed up as a grandma, because that took a lot of guts.”
Congrats, Randy Lee! That Sheryl costume *almost* got you to Episode 2.
Em was asked why she dumped some other guys, like Brent, the father of six kids. Was she just not ready to be Mrs. Brady? “The opportunity to be a stepmom is a blessing,” Emily said, “but at the same time with six kids he is probably not wanting to have any more and I obviously do.”
What about Jackson, who showed off his fine fitness model body after he was dumped to illustrate what Emily would be missing out on? “I didn't realize all that was going on underneath all of that,” Emily admitted. “And I am kind of bummed that I missed it, but I wouldn't change anything. He was very nice during our conversation but I just kind of have the feeling that we wouldn't be that great for each other in the long run and I can confidently say that any guy that would take his shirt off and say that is probably not my type.”
(OK, but the guy who arrived by helicopter is her potential type? And the guy with the boom box? And the OSTRICH EGG?)
Emily also gave a good teaser for some of the dark horses of Season 8, guys who maybe didn’t stand out on the premiere but will come to win us over in time.
"I mean I can't even begin to tell you how great all the guys were going through it,” Em gushed. “I'm excited for you all to see as the season goes on. The first episode is always kind of hard because a lot of the guys are completely out of their element, and I was, you know, not super comfortable just yet. But even some of the guys that didn't make the greatest first impression on me, the strongest first impression, really surprised me.”
