The Bachelorette

Bachelorette 2012 Spoiler Roundup: Emily Maynard News of the Week — May 19

It’s Bachelorette season, y’all, which means the internet never sleeps — and, instead, keeps one eye on Emily Maynard and her crop of increasingly adorable contestants. What’s Jef Holm been up to since filming, you might ask? The answer is even better than you’d imagine: He’s back to helping the world become a better place by providing clean water to the people who need it. (Confidential to Emily: we hope you put a ring on that one). So, without further ado, here’s what’s been happening in the world of televised love this week:

Did Emily Maynard Sleep With Her Final Three Guys?
It’s a crass question to ask, but the answer isn’t anything but sweet. Emily, who previously turned down her overnight date with Brad Womack on The Bachelor because she’s a sweet single mom who doesn’t want her daughter watching her get busy on television, stayed true to her word and kept it PG-13.

Jef Holm Returns Home From Filming, Calls It “The Most Incredible Experience”
did Jef win it all? All we know for sure right now is that he solidly made it into the final three, with Sean Lowe and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. In a preview for the season, Emily seems to really have a connection with the Utah entrepreneur, who she says “is ready to be a husband and to be a dad.”

Jef Holm’s People Water Launches New, Ambitious Donation Efforts
The world got its first impression of good guy Jef Holm on Monday night’s premiere of The Bachelorette. But the more we’re finding out about the company he co-founded, People Water, the clearer it is that this is someone who’s serious about making the world a better place.

Is Emily Maynard in Love Now That Filming Is Over?
Now that filming has wrapped for the season, Emily says she doesn’t know if she’s in love. "You know, I don't know. I don't know," Emily tells The Hollywood Reporter. "You'll have to watch. I'll get in trouble."

Emily “Didn’t Know It Would Be So Hard”
In this 3-minute-long preview for the season, Emily can be seen telling Kalon McMahon off using one very stern 4-letter word. Then, we see the beginning of an epic love story unfolding — completely with cuddle sessions in old historic libraries, walking hand in hand through cobblestone streets... It’s the stuff of fairytales.

Why Ali Fedotowsky Thinks Jef Holm Could Win It All
Add another Hologram to the band — Ali Fedotowsky is Team Jem. The Season 6 Bachelorette tells Us Weekly she thinks Jef Holm is a good match for Season 8 Bachelorette Emily Maynard. And she just thinks he’d be a (super?) cool person to hang out with.

Emily: Arie Luyendyk, Jr., Could Be a Cab Driver for All I Care
Worried that Emily would be upset at having to face another reminder of her ex-fiance, Arie told Em about his racing status on the premiere — and she was fine with it. Her feelings haven’t changed. When asked about her initial reaction to Arie’s profession during a post-premiere media conference call, Emily revealed that she didn’t think it was cruel of ABC to cast him. “I mean, I was really just grateful that Arie was so open about it the very first night he told me.”

Brad Womack Disses Emily, Who Fires Back Gracefully and Playfully
It sounds like both sides of that relationship have moved on far enough to be glad about the results. Emily won’t confirm whether she’s in love and engaged now that she’s finished filming The Bachelorette, but she said she’s happy. He said he’s happy. Everyone is happy… except everyone who really wanted things to work out between Brad and Em. Shrug.
