Game of Thrones Spoiler: Which Character Changes After Blackwater?

Right now, every Game of Thrones fan is eagerly anticipating one thing: Season 2, Episode 9: "Blackwater," and the amazing battle it contains. HBO has been hyping the episode like crazy, and for good reason. It took a month to film and, by all accounts, will probably be a unique TV event.

That said, "Blackwater" isn't the end of the story, or even the season that would be Season 2, Episode 10: "Valar Morghulis." So what happens when the dust settles?

Eugene Simon, who plays the hapless Lancel Lannister, chatted with E! about why he's even more excited for what comes after the battle than the big event itself.

"I'm looking forward to [Lancel's] breakdown," Eugene explained, also noting that Lancel will fight in the battle.

According to Eugene, we can expect a big change in his character after "Blackwater" (which we also assume means he lives, for what that's worth). "It's a very beautiful change, even if it's not necessarily a healthy one," he hinted.

We highly suspect that Lancel won't be the only character who finds himself in a very different position post-"Blackwater." The battle has been set up to be a major turning point in the war for the Iron Throne. If Stannis wins, the Lannisters will be in a seriously bad position; if they manage to repel him, he'll have to come up with an entirely new strategy. And a siege could lead to a protracted fight that costs many lives (and could, theoretically, span many episodes, as well). And, this being Game of Thrones, we're not convinced everyone will manage to get out alive.

What do you think will happen? Take a guess in the comments below! (And please, book readers: Don't spoil it!)
