Glee’s Grant Gustin to Star in a Lifetime Movie! Details on His Dramatic New Role
Earlier this week, we got a peek at the summer plans of some of our fave Glee stars, and now we’ve got another update to add to the list! Season 3 guest-star Grant Gustin (Sebastian) has scored another gig on the small screen – this time heading up the cast of a Lifetime movie called A Mother’s Nightmare, alongside 90210star Jessica Lowndes (Adrianna) and Pretty Little Liars’ Annabeth Gish (Dr. Sullivan). The Hollywood Reporter dished that the film revolves around Grant’s character, Chris Stewart, “a handsome and athletic 16 year old depressed over his parents’ breakup and cheerleader girlfriend’s defection.” Saddd! But, “when a new girl, Vanessa (Lowndes) arrives, she works her seductive wiles on Chris, accusing him of assault when he tries to pull back from their relationship.” Ohhhdear! (Also, it sounds very... Lifetime-y.) No air date is set just yet for the film, but production starts next week in West Kelowna, British Columbia. Meanwhile, though we’re super excited to see Grant beginning to book some movie gigs – we’ve still got our fingers crossed that his Glee character, Sebastian, might head to McKinley next season and becomes a series regular. Anyone else with us?
