Prince William Couldn’t Sleep the Night Before His Wedding
Aww. Prince William says he hardly slept a wink the night before he wed Kate Middleton!
Both because he was nervous, like a normal groom, and also due to the slightly more unusual problem of thousands of revelers screaming outside the window of his castle.
In an upcoming interview for British television, William reveals that he had a classic case of wedding jitters. "I hadn't slept at all that night because obviously all the crowds were on The Mall," he said, according to People.
"They were singing and cheering all night long. So, the excitement of that, the nervousness of me, and everyone singing meant I slept for about half an hour, I think."
We think he looked admirably alert for such a sleep-deprived prince. But William said puffy eyes and yawns weren’t even his biggest worry — he was terrified that his spurs would trip him up and he and Harry would fall down the stairs. Good thing that didn’t happen! Kate probably wouldn’t have married him then, right?
