The Voice’s Jamar Rogers Spotted Looking Fly in West Hollywood (PHOTO)

They say if you can make it in New York City you can make it anywhere, and The Voice contestant Jamar Rogers is a total testament to that.

This 30-year-old Bronx native has gone through his share of ups and downs throughout the years — battling a meth addiction, facing homelessness, and living with HIV — but fighting adversity has only made him stronger.

Jamar — the "comeback kid," as he was dubbed on Season 2 of The Voice — was spotted out and about in West Hollywood yesterday, May 22 with a huge smile on his face. He may not have won the music competition, but he's still got a lot to celebrate.

“I’m a firm believer in everything happening for a reason,” Jamar said a few weeks ago on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“My purpose on this show was so much bigger than just furthering the name of Jamar Rogers. I got to actually give people hope and let them know that they have a second chance no matter where they are in life … I’m fine. I’m so fine.”
