Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 2 Spoilers: Bloody Threats & Jason’s Return?

Well, it’s official: there is a new “A” in Rosewood, and he or she will be in control of the Little Liars once again in Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 2: “Blood Is the New Black,” airing June 12.

New details have emerged about what goes down in the second episode, and it sounds like Season 3 is really going to be darker and scarier than ever. Here are some of the events we know will take place.

The Liars get a “gruesome reminder that ‘A’ is still calling the shots.” Knowing that Emily (Shay Mitchell) will be standing over Maya’s grave at some point, and considering the name of this episode, we worry that this new “A” has sent the Liars a bloody body part. But Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily, Hanna (Ashley Benson), and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) “try to quickly devise a plan on how to deal with this old/new threat and the usual game that has been taken up a notch.” At least their instincts are quicker than usual.

Also, “Spencer and Hanna continue to play with fire as they look for answers.” These two seem an unlikely pair, especially considering their tiff last season. Maybe this will be the result of their conversation in this sneak peek from the Season 3 premiere (Season 3, Episode 1: “It Happened ‘That Night’”).

As for Aria, “one of Aria’s past indiscretions becomes fodder for ‘A’’s game.” Who else in Rosewood could be considered one of Aria’s indiscretions besides Jason (Drew Van Acker)? We really hope this means we get to see Jason’s story expanded into something deeper.

And then there’s poor Emily. “A still very shaky Emily tries to focus on school but could easily be derailed when she remembers a crucial piece from ‘that night.’” Uh oh, could she be remembering that mystery blonde in the red dress?

Catch an all-new Pretty Little Liars when Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
