Gary Shirley: Drug Court Was “Bullying” Amber Portwood
Teen Mom's Amber Portwood sentenced herself to five years in prison when she came before a judge on May 24 and admitted to failing her drug court program.
Reports say that Amber asked the judge to put her back in jail, which means she could be behind bars for five yeras!
Amber's estranged baby daddy, the lovable Gary Shirley, has full custody of their daughter, Leah, but the recent news about Amber has hit him hard.
"Pray for Amber," he tweeted (the tweet has since been deleted). "She could use your thoughts and prayers and say 1 for Leah thanks guys:) God bless u all."
"I really wish it was different for plz don't think for 1 sec she wanted this," Gary continued. "She really is a terrific person. Whose having a hard time."
Gary is clearly broken up about Amber's newest drama, but he's especially upset about how the news will affect Baby Leah.
"I've cried so much today my heart hurts for both her and Leah," Gary wrote. "You know Leah looks up to Amber a lot. And how do I tell her? I can't."
Many fans accused Amber of giving up on her family, but Gary insists that she's a victim.
"Trust me when I say she didn't give up," he wrote. "She did what was gonna happen anyways. Drug Court was Bullying her already... Constantly."
Our thoughts our with Gary and Leah during this difficult time!
