First Look! Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried in Les Miserables Movie Trailer (VIDEO)

Still wondering why Anne Hathaway cut her hair so short? The new trailer for Les Miserables will answer your question.

The big-screen adaptation of the Victor Hugo story, helmed by Academy Award-winning
King's Speech director Tom Hooper, stars Anne as Fantine, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, and Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean.

The trailer (below) features Anne singing the famous “I Dreamed a Dream,” as images from the film appear in a gloomy, gritty montage. We don’t doubt the potential for powerful emotional scenes and images, and there’s another bright spot: Anne may not have as polished a singing voice as the other stars reportedly up for the role (Lea Michele, Taylor Swift), but as CBS points out, it sounds raw and unedited. A lack of autotune puts a smile on our faces.
