The Kardashians

Is Paris Hilton Jealous Over Kim Kardashian’s Fame?

Yikes! It looks like the awkward almost-run-in between ex-best friends Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton brought back some bitter feelings for the hotel heiress.

According to Radar Online, a source says Paris can barely contain her jealousy over Kim’s reality career success and her headline-grabbing relationship with rapper Kanye West.

Back when the two stars were growing up, Paris introduced Kim to the L.A. socialite scene — but it wasn’t long before the blonde starlet’s sidekick surpassed her in fame.

"Kim will always be a sore spot for Paris because she believes that without her Kim wouldn't have the success she has in her life," an insider told Radar. “Paris thinks Kim wasn’t a loyal friend to her and only used her to gain fame and that she is ungrateful for everything Paris claimed to do for her.”

While Paris’s solo venture into reality TV, The World According to Paris, only lasted one season, the Kardashian empire just keeps on growing. Keeping Up With the Kardashians was recently renewed for three more seasons by E! and will result in another $40 million for the fam.

Radar’s sources also claim that Paris is jealous of Kim’s high-profile rumored romance with Kanye, while she herself is dating DJ Afrojack, whom she reportedly considers a few notches lower on the social ladder.

“Afrojack is extremely busy with his gigs and plays nightly at clubs all over the country, and Paris isn’t going to go on the road with him and be a groupie,” the source said. “Paris looks at Kim’s life and the fact that she is constantly featured on the cover of entertainment and fashion magazines while she isn’t — and well, that stings.”
