Grey's Anatomy

What Was the Biggest Shock of Grey’s Anatomy Season 8?

Grey's Anatomy is known for its twists and turns, and Season 8 was no exception. Two major deaths, a departure, a marriage falling apart, a doc failing the Boards, an adoption, and more — there was ton going on and a lot of it took us by surprise.

Everyone is still reeling from Lexie's (Chyler Leigh) death in the finale (Season 8, Episode 24, "Flight"), but was it really the most shocking moment of the season? We knew a death was coming, and she was actually high on our list of people who might go. The end of Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina's (Sandra Oh) marriage, Henry's death, and Owen's big lie were at least as shocking for us. Heck, even MerDer getting Zola for good was a major surprise, even if it was a heartwarming one.

What did you think was the most shocking thing to happen this season?

Miss Grey’s? Us too. Luckily the show will return to Thursdays at 9 p.m. with all-new episodes in the fall on ABC.
