Freaks and Geeks: Then and Now — Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, and James Franco Still Going Strong (PHOTOS)
The 1999 NBC show Freaks and Geeks may have been heartbreakingly canceled within its first season (yes, we're still bitter), but that sure didn't stop its cast members from blossoming into Hollywood's funniest crew. Ah, feels good to be right, doesn't it?
Jason Segel (Nick), Seth Rogen (Ken), and James Franco (Daniel) played Freaks on the teen dramedy, and now, 13 years later, the boys are at it again, running around "not giving a damn 'bout their bad reputation," and starring in Seth Rogen's new comedy, The End of the World (2013) — a movie in which the actors play themselves attending a party at James Franco's house while facing an apocalypse. Not a bad place to spend your final hours, eh?
And as for the Geeks? Well, Samm Levine (Neil) made a short appearance on the last season of Lost, Martin Starr (Bill) played that guy with pink eye on Knocked Up, and John Francis Daley (Sam) eventually went through puberty and now plays Dr. Lance Sweets on Bones.
Now, if only Paul Rudd, Aziz Ansari, and Jonah Hill were part of the Freaks and Geeks cult, our lives would be complete.
