Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Premiere Spoilers Roundup: What Happens in “It Happened ‘That Night’”?

The Pretty Little Liars Season 3 premiere (Season 3, Episode 1: “It Happened ‘That Night’”) airs tomorrow, June 5. Are you excited? Because we can't wait!

To help tide you over, we've gathered all of the juiciest spoilers about the episode right here, so you can use the time between now and the episode to speculate about what it all means.

Read spoilers at your own risk! For more on Wetpaint Entertainment's philosophy on spoilers, cl
ick here.

A time jump forward:
The episode will take place roughly 3 months after the Season 2 finale, right around Labor Day. That places it a year after the series premiere, which is also a year since Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) body was found and a year since Ezria first met in that bar.

"'That Night'" will be thrilling:
Marlene King confirmed that the episode's cryptic title, "It Happened 'That Night'" refers to the night of the masquerade ball and the "A" reveal (Season 2, Episode 25: “UnmAsked”). She has also promised the episode will be more thrilling than sad.

Rosewood rocked: Accord
ing to the press release about the episode, the episode will feature the girls trying to get their lives back to normal, which isn't easy. And it's made even more difficult when "a shocking event rocks Rosewood." We wonder if that's related to...

Alison's body is missing:
As we learn in the first ten minutes of the episode, Alison's body is missing, which Emily (Shay Mitchell) drunkenly discovers. Also in the first ten minutes, someone breaks into Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) house, and they realize that Emily discovering Ali's body was a setup. Uh-oh...

Let's talk about Mona:
Marlene King hinted that Mona (Janel Parrish) will see Alison, though that very well might be a hallucination, because she's still stuck at Radley Sanitorium, as we see in this sneak peek. Based on that clip, we also know Hanna (Ashley Benson) visits her, and Marlene promises a confrontation.

How is Emily handling herself? According to Shay Mitchell, Emily has isolated herself from the other liars. Based on this sneak peek, it looks like she spent the summer abroad, and she's picked up a taste for alcohol, which explains how she winds up at Ali's grave in the middle of the night. Maya's (Bianca Lawson) death clearly hit her hard.

Aria in trouble: In this sneak peek, Aria (Lucy Hale) is trapped in the bathroom with a mysterious figure in black. That's not good at all.

Jenna's big lie: Based on this sneak peek photo, it looks like Jenna (Tammin Sursok) is still pretending to be blind.

Characters we will see: Along with the four main girls, Mona, and Alison, we can expect to see Lucas (Brendan Robinson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) (though not together), Jenna, Ezra (Ian Harding), Toby (Keegan Allen), and Wren Kingston (Julian Morris).

Shipper news: There are so many shipping spoilers, we have them gathered in a whole other article. But the short version is: Ezria will have a sizzling time celebrating their one-year anniversary, including a 35 second makeout scene; Toby gets shirtless, we'll see the rocking chair again, and we'll "learn a lot" about the state of Spoby's relationship; there aren't Wrencer scenes; we will get at least one Maya memory moment, and Haleb will cook together.

Catch the Pretty Little Liars when Season 3 premiere on Tuesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
