Cheryl Burke Will Only Do DWTS All-Stars With Gilles Marini
From the moment they announced Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars would be coming this fall, our biggest wish was for Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke to re-team, re-sexify and re-attempt to win a pair of cheap, shiny trophies. So we’re thrilled to hear that’s what Cheryl wants too.
(Sorry, William Levy, Rob Kardashian, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith and even Tom DeLay fans. Next time?)
On June 2, Mike Doria of Us Weekly tweeted, “#DWTS @cherylburke tells me she would def. do All-Stars show (dancers haven't been announced) but only with #Gilles.”
Gilles and Cheryl pretty much dominated Season 8 until the finale when Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas tied things up with a perfect Freestyle, leaving Gilles in second. Shawn just recently retired from gymnastics thanks to a recovering knee injury and it’s not clear if she plans to return for All-Stars. Gilles is on just about every dream list for this fall’s competition, so let’s hope Cheryl isn’t left stranded without a partner come September.
