Glee Season 4 Spoilers: 3 New Series Regulars — Who’s Getting a Little Brother?

With all the character’s graduating and moving on from Glee, we should have known that the show would be needing some fresh blood for Season 4.

On June 4, TV Line’s Michael Ausiello revealed on Twitter that Glee is adding three new series regulars next year, including Puck’s (Mark Salling) “younger, guitar-playing brother.”

The other two regulars will be a new female high school student and another male in his 20s, according to Ausiello’s follow-up tweet.

Though Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that all of the original castmembers will be back at some point next season, he’s made no indication if they will return as series regulars or not. Sounds like Glee really is making room for the new guys!

It seems safe to assume that both Puck’s younger brother and the new teenage girl will be students at McKinley high school, but what about this mysterious new guy in his 20s? With part of Glee now set in New York City, we’re guessing Rachel (Lea Michele) might just be getting a new college classmate. (But hopefully not a new love interest for her. It’s too soon for that, Glee. We still hope she can ultimately end up with Finn [Cory Monteith].)

Another thing to consider: Now that The Glee Project 2 has started, we’ll soon have another new character to throw in the mix. Of course, there’s always a possibility that the TGP2 winner is included in this list of three — since filming for the show has ended already — but we’re willing to bet that’s not the case. The Glee Project role is only guaranteed 7 episodes, while each of these roles are for a series regular. Plus, we find it very hard to believe that the clues to the identity of the show winner would be revealed so early. It’s usually a very closely-guarded secret.

What do you think of Glee’s casting news? Are you excited to meet Puck’s little bro, or do you wish that Puck could have been able to stick around another year, instead? Head to the comments and sound off!
