Report: Jersey Shore Producers Tell the Cast That Season 6 Will Be the Final Season

There have been rumors swirling around for months now that Jersey Shore Season 6 will be its last, notably started by Pauly D, who recently said “It’s possible.”

Now In Touch is reporting that the eight original castmates were given the news that Season 6 is their final season, as soon as they arrived in Seaside Heights to begin filming. According to the report, “An executive producer announced that this season will be the last … She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game.”

On one hand, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is true. Ratings for the MTV show have been sliding in recent seasons, and Snooki’s pregnancy allegedly angered MTV producers, who were said to be frustrated that they would have to film Snooki living in a separate house, pregnant, and not drinking.

According to In Touch, the amazing eight “decided to make the most of their final days at the Shore” after receiving the news. Which apparently means getting nauseous on rollercoasters, hauling luggage around, and heading to work at the Shore Store!

Catch the premiere of Snooki and JWOWW’s new spin-off on Thursday, June 21 on MTV.

The Pauly D Project airs Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
