While some people (read: everyone) would beg to differ with Teresa's self-assessment, we can't help wondering if maybe therapy is a waste of time. She's in such utter denial — claiming that she has zero problems with her brother, completely blind to the flaws in her marriage, and blatantly insulting her friends in her cookbook only to laugh it off later — Freud himself might have trouble cracking into her subconscious.
At the end of the last episode, Teresa had yet to respond to Joe's invite to the couch. Regardless of whether or not therapy is the answer for this tumultuous bro-and-sis relationship, we sincerely hope she agrees to at least a session or two for Joe's sake since he did reach out to her. (Also, for our sakes, because that's bound to be some fantastic television.)
