OMG Moments From The Bachelorette Season 8, Episode 5: Emily Goes “Backwoods Hood Rat” On Kalon
This week's Bachelorette was even more jaw dropping than usual — mostly because Emily Maynard took a trip to Crazy Town and never returned. Don't know about you guys, but we love feisty Emily and hope she's here to stay!
Check out the top three OMG moments of the episode, including Emily and Jef's much-anticipated lip lock. Dreamy sigh!
1. Emily Goes "Backwoods Hood Rat" On Kalon We're used to seeing our girl Emily in various states of demure confusion, but this week she got all Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde up in everyone's business and showed us what she's really made of. Here's what went down: Kalon made the mistake of referring to Ricki Bobby as "baggage," Doug narc'd him out to Emily, and Emily flipped her weave all over England.
Without further ado, we present our favorite Emily quotes from the evening: "I'm so angry right now," "I want to go out there and rip his limbs off and beat him with them," and the classic "I want to go West Virginia hood rat backwoods on his ass." Flawless.
2. Emily and Jef Have Tea, Jef Remains Adorable While Fondling Crumpets You guys, Jef feels a million emotions. He literally told us that last night while we were crying at the TV and binge eating finger sandwiches. We've been waiting weeks for Emily and Jef to have a one-on-one date, and it was everything we hoped for and more!
Not only did we get to see Jef wearing a blazer made of sweatshirt material (his outfits never fail to amaze), we also got to see him pour tea and tenderly make out with Emily! Swoooon, the hair coif Gods approve.
3. Arie Dresses Up as a Nurse, We're Still Attracted To Him We have a feeling Arie would have been a great addition to all those Feminist Studies classes we took in college. Boyfriend is all about redefining gender roles, and he embraced his free-flowing nurse costume like a true champ during The Bachelorette's rendition of Romeo and Juliet.
Sure, Arie's high-pitched voice was vaguely offensive (if we've learned one thing from Emily it's that us ladies sometimes sound husky), but the era of Ariel is upon us and we embrace it fully.
